2018 Australian Masters Rowing Champs
10 - 13 May, Lake Barrington, Tasmania
The Union squad at the Australian Masters Champs
Lake Barrington is picturesque and purpose built for rowing. We flew in and stayed in Davenport which was an easy 45 minute drive from the course.
10 Union rowers attended , 6 men and 4 women. Brendon and Spike put in excellent performances for a duo that does not train together, but it was their off water performances that brought the best out of the touring 10.
The regatta was well run and the competition well worth the trip to compete against. We learned that the Australian army crew is whom we should approach in the future for boats, as their plant is decent and they do not charge big hire fees. We certainly came home appreciating the fact that all our plant is in good condition and most is not older than 7 years old.
